Position Overview:

The mission of the FLA TEAM LEADER & CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (Team Lead-CFP®) is to provide leadership and fiduciary expertise with a focus on excellence to support the Advisor team and our clients to live their best lives. This person prides themselves on the value they provide as they develop ongoing relationships with the CFP team and their clients. 

 

The Team Lead-CFP® is a full-time position. This person is eligible for a competitive compensation package with base salary and variable compensation opportunities along with excellent benefits including the Company 401(k) Plan with matching contributions and flexible PTO plan. This position requires candidates to reside within driving distance to San Antonio, TX for in-office work, some remote flexibility is available. Office hours are typically 8:30 - 5:30 CT, Monday-Friday.

 

Responsibilities:

The key responsibility of the Team Lead-CFP® is to provide leadership to the financial planning team, seek improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of client services, onboard and train new Wealth Managers and staff, and be an active member of the FLA Leadership team. As a CFP® Professional, they will also provide superior comprehensive financial planning with the highest level of enthusiasm, accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency to support the initiatives of our clients and firm in delivering exceptional experiences.

 

 

The Team Lead-CFP® will deliver exceptional service and become a trusted partner to the team and clients by:

      Working with leadership and the Advisor Team to set and achieve goals for performance and well-being that tie into the company's mission, vision, and strategic plan

      Fostering constructive partnerships with fellow team leads, advisor team and stakeholders by influencing and positively impacting discussions as a key leader, contributor, and decision maker across the firm

      Developing and organizing supervisory procedures and workflows that ensure effectiveness and efficiency to allow team to communicate, track, and provide the greatest customer and advisor experience

      Monitoring employee satisfaction, productivity, capacity, quality, and outcomes while providing coaching, mentorship, and support as needed

      Providing exceptional and comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to our clients that collectively evaluate and plan for retirement, estate planning, risk management, insurance needs, tax planning strategies, and cash flow to foster relationships that drive unsolicited referrals

      Supporting expansion of team through strategic recruitment planning as well as developing, delivering, and documenting an onboarding, training, and professional development program to create consistent and repeatable experience

      Learning and engaging in the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) throughout the Company

      Coordinating activities and ensuring timely information delivery to our CPA Partners

      Performing all client service tasks related to communication, paperwork, workflow and task management, and documentation/filing

      Attend networking and professional development opportunities

      Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients and team members

      Performing other duties and special projects independently or in conjunction with FLA Team members

      Complying with rules and regulations of the SEC and firm

 

Proficiencies:

      A strong belief in and passion for comprehensive financial planning

      Strong interpersonal skills and written, verbal and presentation skills to develop relationships and communicate effectively

      Coaching and Mentorship experience and skills to bring out the best in those you work with

      Able to coordinate multiple projects at one time and prioritize tasks for each to ensure done with precision in a timely manner

      Demonstrates a powerful sense of urgency about getting work done and problem solving with a proactive, goal-oriented client-centered approach

      Create trusting relationships through quality and effective communication in written, oral, and presentation form. This includes double checking work to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Must also be able to track communication and be responsive to phone calls, in person meetings, virtual video calls, Teams chat messages, and emails.

      Provides a superior level of discretion and ethical standards and applies integrity through maintaining objectivity. The Team Lead-CFP® will work with confidential information, where discretion and sensitivity are a must.

      Demonstrates an affinity for numbers and ensuring accuracy of reporting

Requirements:

      Experience/Education:

o  CFP® Certification with 5+ years of wealth management experience, CPA a plus

o  3+ years of team leadership/management experience

      Physical:

o  Ability to bend, reach, and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 lbs
