Job Description

A UK wide, successful retail business in the Pontefract area is looking for a finalist/newly qualified accountant to join their team as Finance Business Partner.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has proven experience in a dynamic, fast-paced business or has recently qualified from practice and trained in audit.

Varied responsibilities include:
Providing accurate reporting and analysis of financial information
Build strong relationships with 3rd party providers
Monitoring, highlighting and investigating areas of concern
Be a key contact for liaising with external auditors
Managing warehouse stock control and consulting with managers in relation to audit
Reviewing procedures and identifying areas of improvement for operations and reporting
Create reports using large sets of data to analyse stock levels
Managing 1 direct report with a view to grow the team

To be successful in this role you'll need:
To hold an accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Strong technical accounting skills
To be confident in communicating at all levels
Excellent attention to detail
To demonstrate your commercial awareness
Good IT skills specifically with Excel
