Job Description Key Focus of This PositionThe Female Programs Manager delivers Western Australia's strategic actions and initiatives as part of the AFL Women and Girls Game Development Action Plan as it relates to coaching, umpiring, volunteering and club development. The Female Programs Manager is also responsible for team management and engagement initiatives for females across the broader WA Football ecosystem and engages closely with female talent programs. This role is a 2 year full time contract.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee initiatives and strategies to maximise participation outcomes across Female Football in WA, including female coaches and female umpires.
- Support and implement Female pathways (participation, coaching, umpiring and administration) across all segments of the game in WA.
- Drive and manage the Women and Girls Community Football Charter program, ensuring uptake of the program by community clubs, leagues and umpire groups.
- Support clubs, leagues and umpire groups to implement their action plans and drive positive improvements in the community football environment.
- Work closely with the National Women and Girls Community Football Manager to ensure state outcomes align to priority areas
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO UNDERTAKE THE POSITION:
- Experience working across complex stakeholders
- Experience in leading projects
- Experience in facilitating workshops with community stakeholders
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation skills
- Experience in developing and implementing strategy
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised
- Experience working across multiple complex stakeholders
- Ability to lead and interact confidently with groups of participants and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to innovate
- Experience engaging with WAFLW / AFLW Clubs to build complete community pathways
- Current AFL Coaching accreditation or willingness to obtain one
- Current Driver's License
- Working with Children card
- Experience with AFLW / WAFLW or community football level
- Understanding the various segments of Community Football (Club and School) in Western Australia
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
