The Event Account Manager / BDM / Sales Manager will identify available leads in the market and prepare proposals for local and international clients including conferences, incentives, dinners, weddings, activities and tours. You will act as the lead person from the initial enquiry to final billing ensuring exceptional service is always given.
Qualifications- Events & Exhibitions background is a must.
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated.
- Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint.
- Proven event management experience ideally working previously in an Events Agency within the UAE.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the local market and venues and knowledge of key contacts of clients.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with problem solving ability.
- Present proposals, quotations and contracts to clients in a professional manner.
- Work closely with the Higher Management on conceptualization, planning, quotations and event management of the day event logistics.
- Handle various group & event enquiries preparing detailed proposals as per departmental standard and client requirements within specified timelines.
- Onsite logistics: lead person overseeing event delivery, liaising with suppliers to ensure successful execution and exceeding client expectations.
- Negotiate with clients to achieve best financial results for the business.
- Coordinate with all internal & external stakeholders to ensure accurate information for event success.
- Collect market intelligence and trends to ensure company has up to date products to sell.
- Win win attitude and ability to make decisions that benefit business and client.
- Preparing and presenting client proposals using PPT.
- Solid understanding of reporting and budgeting procedures.
- Solid negotiation skills.
- Additional language(s) would be advantageous.
- Detail oriented, methodical, logical in approach and thinking.
- Positive, patient, approachable, supportive to colleagues.
