Your new role
Electricians play an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prison is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week Monday - Friday + overtime paid for weekend work.
You will be responsible for:
What you'll need to succeed
Appropriate technical qualifications, e.g. City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or aboveBS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition .Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution, and installation and testing.Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.Capable of working at heights.Ability to work alone and use initiative.In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have IT skills, testing and inspection 2391, experience in fire alarm and CCTV systems plus exposure to working environment up to phase 3 400 volts to help you hit the ground running, although we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
