Who We Are

At Empowering Connection, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected, and fulfilling life.

As a registered NDIS provider, we support people with disabilities to build independence, engage with their community, and achieve their personal goals.

Our team works alongside individuals and families across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Greater Adelaide region, delivering supports that are grounded in respect, empathy, and empowerment.

We exist to make inclusion real - by walking beside people, not in front of them - and helping them thrive on their own terms.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker at Empowering Connection, you'll be part of a team that truly makes a difference.

You'll support people to live more independently - whether that's helping with daily routines, joining them at community activities, or simply being a trusted presence who listens and empowers.

No two days are ever the same; you might be assisting someone to learn new life skills, providing personal care, or helping them connect with friends and local groups.

Your role exists to promote dignity, autonomy, and belonging. The impact? You'll help people take real steps toward their goals and live the life they choose.

About You

You're compassionate, reliable, and motivated by helping others thrive. You enjoy meaningful work where small actions create big change.

You might already have experience in disability or community support - or you may be ready to start your career with the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn.

You'll bring:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care/Community Services) or relevant experience (this may include currently being enrolled in a certificate or other community services experience)

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or DCSI), Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR - or a willingness to obtain these

• A current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle (this may include a P2 licence in South Australia)

• A commitment to choice, inclusion, and human rights

Desired Experience

Experience with complex needs, mental health, or behaviour support is welcomed but not essential - we'll provide the training and guidance you need to succeed.

Additional Benefits

We believe in looking after our team as much as our participants. You'll enjoy:

• Flexible hours that fit around your life

• Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

• Supportive team environment with mentoring and peer support

• Opportunities for growth within a leading South Australian NDIS provider

• Paid travel and training time

• The chance to work in a team that genuinely cares - about you, our participants, and our community
