Location: Adelaide CBD (4 days in-office)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $200,000 + super

We're working with a pioneering organisation at the forefront of satellite-enabled IoT connectivity-delivering scalable, secure, and low-maintenance solutions built for the most remote and complex environments.

With ongoing growth and innovation driving their next chapter, they're now seeking a Director, Network Operations to join the leadership team and help shape the future of their network infrastructure and service delivery.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, this is a critical role responsible for the performance, reliability, and scalability of internal and external network operations. You'll bring a strategic mindset, strong technical depth, and a track record of building and leading high-performing teams across complex network environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring world-class network delivery, while contributing to broader business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead network operations across a growing, high-impact environment
  • Drive the integration of new features and systems with minimal disruption
  • Manage third-party roaming partnerships and external interfaces
  • Oversee network quality, cybersecurity, and ICT best practices
  • Monitor uptime, availability, and infrastructure capacity
  • Take ownership of operational budgets and cost controls
  • Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative operations team
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders across strategy, product, and engineering
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience across telecommunications, satellite, IoT, or cloud-based network environments
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen with the ability to scale infrastructure and teams
  • A background in systems engineering, DevOps, or big data operations is advantageous
  • Experience managing enterprise or distributed IoT networks
  • Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of ICT and cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams
  • Clear communicator, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting and capacity planning
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine leadership presence
