Department: Logistics & Procurement
Role PurposeThe Director of Logistics & Procurement leads all procurement, logistics, AOG support, and warehouse operations at GAES. The position ensures the timely and cost-effective availability of aircraft materials and components to support maintenance operations, while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities- Strategic Leadership: Directs the development and implementation of GAES logistics and procurement strategies to achieve corporate goals and profitability targets.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversees sourcing, purchasing, vendor qualification, and supplier performance to ensure reliability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Operational Control: Manages departmental budgets, ensures optimal inventory levels, and leads lean, cost-conscious processes aligned with business objectives.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensures full compliance with UAE Civil Aviation Authority regulations and GAES internal policies (MOE, WPM, PMPM, Code of Business Ethics).
- People Leadership: Develops and retains a skilled workforce; fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and transparent communication.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Material Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Language: English proficiency at C2 level.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in aviation logistics or procurement management, including experience with airline or OEM supply chains and multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in aircraft material management and logistics.
- Proven record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Experience in applying Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
