Digital Marketing Assistant

We are currently working with an extremely reputable engineering company based in Peterborough who are looking to expand their marketing team. This is a brand-new role to help support the Marketing Manager implement their marketing strategy and their ambitious sales team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in activating campaigns and implementing strategies
  • Support the sales team by preparing promotional presentations
  • Manage social media channels with an emphasis on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter
  • Create content for the website and social media, including photography, graphics, videos, and blog writing
  • Perform market research to pinpoint opportunities based on sales and industry trends
  • Help in organising promotional events and both online and offline campaigns
  • Analyse marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media analytics, and other data sources to identify areas of enhancement
  • Handle administrative tasks such as updating spreadsheets, databases, and maintaining statistical information

Person Specification

  • Must have a background in marketing
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and innovative in generating ideas
  • Prior experience in social media management
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, including content creation, CMS system utilisation, and sales presentation techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with marketing software and online tools, including CRM, online analytics, and Google Adwords

Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits

  • Monday to Thursday - 08:30 to 16:45
  • Friday - 08:30 to 15:00
  • Flexi time available
  • Up to £28,000
  • Option to join Company pension scheme after 1 years service. (employee 5%, employer 7.5%)
  • 29 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
