Holsworthy High School is in the Liverpool area of South West Sydney and has over 700 students. The school has a diverse multicultural community, including 41 Aboriginal students. Holsworthy High School also has students from Defence Force families who are well-supported by a Defence School Mentor (DSM). A Special Education unit caters for students with a mild intellectual disability (IM) and autism (AU). There is a very well-established and effective Community of Schools group with high quality joint programmes. There is a firm commitment from the leadership of all four schools to develop and extend this partnership.

• Strong communication, organisational and management capabilities, including demonstrated capacity to lead and oversee the complex day to day operations of the school.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and manage student wellbeing and behaviour programmes that enhance attendance, engagement and a positive school culture.
• A highly visible and approachable instructional leader with proven ability to build authentic relationships across the school community which help to promote a culture of high expectations and collaborative practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse executive team to effectively initiate, lead and monitor the implementation of the schools' strategic directions and whole school programmes.

1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
