We're now offering an exciting opportunity for a leading deckhand or experienced mussel farming crew member ready to step up into a Skipper role with Yumbah Mussel Holdings - Australia's largest mussel farming operation, based in Port Lincoln. This vibrant coastal city is renowned for its stunning natural environment, excellent fishing, seafood culture and relaxed way of life.

If you're an experienced deckhand with leadership potential, we'll provide the training, mentoring and support you need to gain your skipper's qualifications. You'll grow your skills, earn recognised tickets and build a long-term career in a business that invests in its people.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll be hands-on in all aspects of mussel farming and vessel operations. You'll start by supporting farm site inspections, harvesting operations and boat handling, and as you grow into the role, progress to leading a small crew, safely navigating and operating mussel farming vessels and taking on full Skipper responsibilities.

• Assist in operating and maintaining farm vessels across a range of conditions.
• Support harvesting operations, ensuring safe handling and transport of mussels.
• Help inspect farm sites, monitor growth and maintain infrastructure.
• Take on increasing responsibility for supervising and training crew.
• Develop skills to eventually take full control of vessel navigation and operation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainable farming practices.

• Hands-on mussel farming deckhand experience with a desire to step up.
• Boat handling experience and an interest in gaining skipper's qualifications.
• Physically fit, adaptable and ready to work in all weather conditions.
