We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer for one of our clients. As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with diverse teams across the platform and the Business Intelligence/Data Science practices. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering actionable data content that empowers business decisions.
Location : Dubai
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage varied data warehousing structures tailored to specific use cases.
- Lead the successful delivery of large-scale data solutions, addressing complex challenges with significant impact.
- Build scalable data infrastructure, understanding distributed systems concerning data storage and compute.
- Utilize expertise in SQL and solid knowledge of ETL processes for effective data modeling.
- Ensure data accuracy and availability while understanding the influence of technical choices on business analytics.
- Proficiently handle large volumes of data processing using at least one programming or scripting language.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate both technical and non-technical requirements effectively.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of data solutions and pipelines on AWS Cloud Platform.
- Enhance continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices within the data environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and at least one other programming language (Java, Node.js, C#, etc.).
- Experience with AWS technologies and frameworks, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Spark.
- Familiarity with large-scale datasets, both structured and unstructured, and knowledge of ETL and data modeling.
- Understanding of cloud architectures and data solutions for big data, relational databases, and NoSQL environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities with a knack for prioritization and problem-solving.
- Proven background in SDLC delivery, experienced in Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitLabs and Jenkins, with experience in CI/CD for data environments.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, contributing towards data modernization initiatives.
