The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in the Illawarra.

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.

An elderly Client in Oak Flats is seeking a social visitor. He enjoys all things footy and would appreciate the company of a Volunteer for a chat and a coffee.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
