HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in The Central Coast.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.
We are seeking a friendly volunteer to come and spend time with an elderly client living at home in Toukley. She would like to meet someone simply to chat over a cuppa and share stories.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
