GoFundMe is a community-powered fundraising platform with a mission of helping people, help each other. Now live in 20 countries, Australia is one of the largest and most generous regions represented on GoFundMe. In fact, 1 in 3 Australians have used GoFundMe to help one another. The Australian team is looking for a competent and self-driven Communications & Engagement Manager to lead communications and customer engagement, from individuals in need, to charities and community organisations, and support with local communications initiatives.

Though based out of Sydney, you will be a part of a global team of passionate and driven people helping increase generosity and access to help around the world.

Already part of our team? We ask that internal candidates apply via the internal job board to ensure your application is reviewed appropriately.

The Job
  • Working closely with local and global communications leads to design and implement earned and owned media strategies in Australia.
  • Amplifying fundraiser stories, trends and movements across earned and owned media.
  • Keeping across industry trends and identifying innovative ways to introduce our new product offerings to the local market.
  • Driving customer engagement through designing scalable customer success and coaching strategies.
  • Seeing end to end delivery of partnerships - from creators, agencies, and community organisations.
  • The main point of contact between Australian and global product teams. Recommending localisation strategies for new fundraising tools and providing internal feedback to support continuous product improve.
You
  • As a member of a small team, we are looking for a strong team member who is used to working in a fast-paced environment and thrives off always striving to be better.
  • Are a self-starter and take extreme ownership of your professional responsibilities.
  • Be hungry for results with a solutions-oriented mindset; enjoy seeking new and efficient ways to reach goals.
  • Write and communicate clearly for multiple audiences.
  • 7+ years experience in a role where the above skills were applied.
  • Will ideally have experience working closely with product teams, working to understand customer needs and tailoring solutions that meet them.
  • Ideally have experience with, and understanding of, the local fundraising and philanthropy environment in Australia, especially as it relates to digital technology - or proven experience of getting immersed into a new industry quickly, to drive results.
Why you'll love it here
  • Make an Impact: Be part of a mission-driven organization making a positive difference in millions of lives every year.
  • Innovative Environment: Work with a diverse, passionate, and talented team in a fast-paced, forward-thinking atmosphere.
  • Collaborative Team: Join a fun and collaborative team that works hard and celebrates success together.
