Coach/Competition Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-level coaching programs and managing the planning and execution of competitive events within the Raquet Sports department.
The role combines athlete development with event coordination, requiring expertise in coaching, tournament logistics, and collaborative leadership. The Coach/Competition Coordinator will work closely with the Head Coach to support the Raquet Sports strategic goals in both training and competition coordination.
Areas of Responsibilities Coaching Responsibilities- Deliver structured and engaging coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Provide individualized feedback and monitor player development
- Implement lesson plans and contribute to long-term training strategies
- Mentor junior coaches and support their professional growth
- Plan and manage the calendar of tournaments, leagues, and match play events
- Full coordination including scheduling, registration, officiating, and venue setup
- Ensure competitions meet regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks
- Maintain accurate records of results, rankings, and player participation
- Assist in delivering recreational, development, and performance programs
- Support the organization of camps, workshops, and academy events
- Ensure smooth and professional execution of all sessions and competitions
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of courts and equipment
- Report any facility or safety concerns to the Head Coach
- Relevant degree or diploma in Sports, Physical Education, or related field is preferred
- Tennis coaching certifications.
- At least 5 years' experience in tennis coaching, across the red, orange, and green stages of tennis coaching (preferred)
- At least 2 years in sports event coordination
- Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals, biomechanics, and modern coaching techniques
- Ability to deliver both group and individual sessions effectively
- Familiarity with lesson planning and athlete development tracking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt coaching methods based on player needs
