We're looking for an experienced Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team and provide delicious, nutritious meals for our children, working 32.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday. Previous experience working in a childcare setting is desirable for this role. About the Role As our Centre Chef, you will: Plan, prepare, and serve fresh meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 Develop rotating menus that meet dietary, allergy, and cultural needs Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment at all times Manage inventory, food ordering, and kitchen documentation Work closely with the Centre Director and Educators to support overall wellbeing What You'll Need To be successful in this role, you'll need: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Experience working in a childcare environment (mandatory) A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations Strong time management, planning, and communication skills Key Benefits Hourly Rate: $30.93 Laundry allowance in addition to your salary Up to 50% childcare discount for permanent staff Consistent daytime hours (Monday to Friday - 30 hours/week) Access to the Busy Bees learning platform and professional development Supportive leadership and team culture Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Career opportunities within our national network Apply now to join Busy Bees at Wellard , where your talent for food and passion for children's wellbeing will be truly appreciated.Have a Bee-autiful day!If you're passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be.
