What You'll Do
  • Account for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including diagnostic and procedural information, significant reportable elements, and complications
  • Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement
  • Analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies
  • Assign codes for reimbursement; research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines
  • Research and facilitate a plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of financial and protected patient files
  • Physician credentialing
  • Serve as coding consultant to staff and providers
What We're Looking For:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Availability for full-time hours (40/week)
  • Primary location(s): Appleton-Westhill Clinic (on-site)
