GROUNDS & GARDEN • Show initiative and creativity in enhancing the aesthetics and appearance of the park. • To assist with maintenance of the grassed areas throughout the park. • To assist with maintenance of gardens. • To assist with maintenance of the park's appearance to as high a standard as possible. • To maintain park gardens, lawns, roads, and pathways in accordance with policies. • To perform task such as hedging, mowing, pruning, trimming, and mulching throughout the park as required. Including pest and weed control. • To assist with a maintenance program for trees to ensure as safe an environment as possible. • To work within allocated budgets for plant stock to get optimal use. • To assist the grounds manager to establish a plant nursery area that will allow cuttings to be taken from park stock. • To ensure that all chemicals/fertilisers/sprays that are used are safe for environment and not damaging to eco-systems. • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of a register for all chemicals, fertilisers and sprays used at the park. • To use all chemical as per manufacturer instruction. To avoid waste at all times • To use watering systems efficiently to minimise waste. • To be responsible with the use of all equipment. • To ensure all waste and rubbish is placed within the appropriate bins and accessible for collection by the waste removal trucks. What will success look like? • Guest feedback will be positive, specifically in relation to the grounds and gardens. • Positive feedback from Team Leader and/or Operations Manager. • Time management will improve without a reduction in quality output
