Mid Level, Full Time, Retail & Merchandising - Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
We are seeking a personable and detail oriented cashier to manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently. You will provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless transaction process.
Responsibilities- Process customer transactions using cash registers and point of sale systems.
- Ensure accurate and balanced cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Handle cash, credit and debit card transactions promptly and accurately.
- Assist customers with inquiries, purchases and locating products.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues with professionalism and patience.
- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.
- Verify identification and ensure legal compliance for alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Count and handle store coupons, vouchers and gift cards accurately.
- Ensure receipt issuance for each transaction and handle return tickets properly.
- Collaborate with store staff to maintain stock levels and product displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance store reputation and loyalty.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cashier or retail customer service position preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in handling cash and other payment methods efficiently.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate financial transaction handling.
- Ability to stand and work for long periods during shifts.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
