• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers.
• Ensure the cash register balances at the end of each shift worked.
• Address customer queries and resolve complaints effectively and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area throughout your shift.
• Assist customers with bagging their purchases when necessary.
• Understand and apply company policies regarding discounts, sales, and returns.
• Keep track of promotional activities and inform customers as appropriate.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the cash register accurately.
• Cooperate with other team members to manage multiple checkout lanes during rush hours.
• Report any discrepancies or suspicious activities to the store manager promptly.
• Provide assistance with inventory management and restocking shelves when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a related field preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash registers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
