Carlisle Adventist College, a co-educational Prep to Year 12 school in Mackay, Queensland, operated by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Northern Australia) Ltd, seeks a passionate and qualified Chemistry and Biology Teachers to join its Science faculty in 2026.

This is a full-time position ideal for a teacher who loves inspiring scientific curiosity and supporting students to excel in both practical and theoretical aspects of science.

About the Role

  • Teach Senior Chemistry and Biology, and contribute to Junior Science (Years 7-12) as required.
  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking and experimentation.
  • Foster a safe and Christ-centred laboratory learning environment.
  • Participate in curriculum development and cross-faculty collaboration.
  • Support students preparing for QCAA external assessments and tertiary pathways.

Requirements

  • A degree qualification in Education with specialisation in Science (Chemistry and/or Biology).
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate Christian values within the curriculum.
  • Strong laboratory safety knowledge and organisational skills.

Salary Range: $88,000 - $122,000 (dependent on experience, excluding superannuation).
