Cargo Agent Operations And ULD Handling - Emiratisation

This role ensures smooth cargo handling throughout Export and Import operations. The Cargo Agent performs all cargo handling activities including documentation, customer service, acceptance, delivery, breakdown, build up and equipment operation.

The Cargo Agent follows departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures and performs day to day operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Follow all relevant policies and procedures to maintain consistent work standards.
• Execute day to day operations related to cargo handling.
• Report safety concerns openly to the supervisor.
• Comply with safety, quality and environmental management policies to ensure a healthy work environment.
• Guide and assist the team of Loaders and Equipment Operators in cargo handling activities (build up, breakdown, acceptance, delivery and documentation).
• Inspect and validate against relevant documentation, counting goods at every point of delivery, acceptance, breakdown and build up to ensure compliance with standard work procedures.
• Enter data manually or automatically into cargo systems in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Government Authorities such as Customs, Municipality, Health or Police to ensure smooth movement of cargo, courier and mail.
• Handle special cargo (dangerous goods, live animals, valuable goods, etc.) in line with IATA manuals.
• Operate cargo handling equipment (tow trucks, forklifts, etc.) for movement of loads.
• Load and unload cargo from ULDs, aircraft and trucks as appropriate in a timely manner.

• O level (minimum 10 years of schooling) or Higher Secondary (12 years schooling).
• 0-2 years of experience in Logistics and Cargo.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Advanced training in Civil Aviation, Cargo Product Knowledge, Dangerous Goods, Basic Airline Security, Human Factors, Ramp Safety, Cool Chain dnata Cargo, and Warehouse Safety is an advantage.
• Valid UAE license for operating equipment.
• System knowledge of DACS+ and CAMSYS is an advantage.
