Comprises a team of 120 onsite Allied Health professionals across 13 specialties.

Permanent part-time (30 hours per week).

Montefiore in Woollahra is recruiting for the position of Care and Activities Assistant. This permanent part-time role works Monday to Friday and reports to the Executive Care Manager. Your role is a hybrid of personal care tasks and leisure and lifestyle activities, spending 50% delivering personal care services and 50% for Wellbeing Programs and implementation.

You will:

  • Provide safe, respectful, and personalized support with daily living and personal care, aligned with Montefiore's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Work under the guidance of the Leisure & Lifestyle Therapist to enhance residents' emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing through meaningful leisure and lifestyle activities that foster dignity, engagement, and quality of life.
  • Deliver person-centred care in every interaction, ensuring each resident feels heard, valued, and supported.

To be successful you will demonstrate the following:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021).
  • Certificate IV Leisure and Health (preferred).
  • Cert IV in Ageing Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Previous experience in an aged care health care setting (preferred).
  • Understanding of aged care standards and person-centred care.
  • Experience facilitating group and individual activities that promote wellbeing, social interaction, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of older people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ability to follow care plans and complete required documentation.
