Overview of the roleManage the performance of the BYD retail sales team across large stores and pop up locations, ensuring achievement of sales targets, delivery of exceptional customer experiences, and execution of operational excellence in line with BYD brand standards.
Team Leadership & Performance- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor daily performance metrics such as leads, test drives, and conversions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and development plans.
- Ensure consistent delivery of a premium customer journey across all touchpoints.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and support the team in complex sales negotiations.
- Champion a customer first culture and ensure alignment with BYD brand values.
- Oversee daily operations of retail stores and pop ups, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with marketing and events teams to support activations and campaigns.
- Manage inventory levels, vehicle display, and test drive logistics.
- Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Provide insights to senior management to support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with HR, training, and product teams to ensure team readiness and product knowledge.
- Work closely with aftersales and delivery teams to ensure seamless customer handover.
- Written and spoken English is mandatory; additional languages (Arabic, Russian, Mandarin) are beneficial.
- 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in the mid luxury retail automotive industry.
- 3+ years supervising or leading teams.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for customer service and the automotive industry.
- Upselling skills and ability to create value from new products.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer choices.
- Excellent planning and scheduling abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
