Business Development Manager - Pharma Ingredients (API)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base in the pharmaceutical ingredients market (API's, Excipients).
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities within the pharmaceutical ingredients markets.
  • Team Leadership: Develop a team, fostering a high performance culture and ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align strategies and enhance product offerings.
  • Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharma, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B sales, with a strong focus on pharma ingredients (API's, Excipients or related).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
