Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee the repair of industrial machinery, special assembly machines, injection molding machines, and other production equipment.
- Manage electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical control troubleshooting.
- Develop a robust preventative maintenance program for the Production Maintenance and Facilities team.
- Evaluate machinery and facility equipment to determine equipment capability, efficiency and to detect problems before they occur.
- Create/Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, electrical codes and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and bulletins.
- Inform appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Manage and assist maintenance personnel with large and small scope projects when necessary.
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly (and weekend) maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Employ, supervise and train workers.
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Maintain all inventory, equipment, and ensure proper storage.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
- Manage preventative maintenance work.
- Manage service contracts.
- Enters purchase orders for all emergency equipment parts and repairs.
- Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
- Adheres to safety and housekeeping policies and strives to maintain outstanding safety record.
- Work with Engineering on repeat downtime issues and poor performance equipment.
Other Job Functions:
- Performs other job-related and department-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Employ, supervise, and oversee day to day functioning and planning of the Maintenance Department including direct reports.
- Work hand in hand with Management, cross functional Teams, and subordinates to clearly define goals and objectives.
- Work hand in hand with direct reports when needed to accomplish tasks.
- Communicate with Management and Team daily, to understand, prioritize, schedule, delegate, and ensure maintenance work is completed on time and on schedule to meet daily business needs.
- Conduct follow-ups on work, evaluate performance, and provide feedback to ensure objectives and goals are met daily.
- Identify and provide training and development to meet business and department needs.
- Work with the Team to develop, improve, and maintain equipment and inventories, including storage.
- Work with the Team to schedule, execute, improve, and define all maintenance needs, to include all PMs and daily needs.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum five years of experience in production environment.
- Good communication, computer and counting skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work under pressure.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete work independently
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with IQMS is a plus.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling.
- Possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals.
