Brighten someone's day - and your own - through the simple gift of friendship.
Spend time with a warm-hearted elderly lady who enjoys a friendly chat over coffee and appreciates the simple pleasures in life. As a volunteer, you'll visit weekly or fortnightly to offer companionship, share light conversation, and brighten her day with your company.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
