Permanent Full Time - to commence Term 1 2025
Our motto is: "Equipped for Life"
Brewarrina Christian School is a new school which commenced operation in January 2023 and will operate Kindergarten to Year 10 in February 2025, growing through to Year 12.
The school is a member of the Melos Group () which operates 6 schools across NSW.
We are looking for an experienced small school Principal with a sense of adventure and a mission heart to take up the challenge of continuing the foundational work done by our first Principal. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait people is an advantage, as is K-12 experience.
The Principal must possess the following experience, knowledge and attributes:
- Able to instil trust, confidence and cohesion within a staff team.
- Effective organisational skills to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the school and maintain its culture of being a close-knit, caring community.
- Current working knowledge of NESA registration and accreditation requirements for non-government schools, and able to move the school into Years 10-12.
- Current working knowledge of Child Protection, including investigation and reporting practices.
Applicants will need to be committed, practising evangelical Christians with exemplary teaching skills; be prepared to work under and maintain the ethos of the School; have a highly developed knowledge of curriculum; administrative expertise; an organised disposition; proven management and human relations qualities; and a commitment to the philosophy of Christian education; demonstrated expertise working with groups to develop initiatives.
Teaching staff who are non-local residents relocating to Brewarrina will be provided with housing on site with only a minimal charge to cover utilities.
