Do you thrive in a workplace where collaboration, respect and genuine support are part of everyday life?
About the Organisation
We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Director / Centre Manager to lead a brand-new, purpose-built early learning centre set to open soon. This is a unique opportunity to build and mentor your own team, while shaping the centre's culture and vision right from the very beginning.
In this role, you'll enjoy the autonomy to lead with confidence, supported by an approachable and bubbly Area Manager who offers guidance without micromanagement.
You'll also benefit from strong on-site support: a full-time Assistant Director to share operational responsibilities and a dedicated Educational Leader to drive programming and curriculum - giving you more time to focus on what you do best: inspiring your team and leading with purpose.
We offer a competitive salary package, monthly RDOs, and ongoing professional development with clear pathways for progression. All this within a warm, values-driven organisation that recognises your achievements and celebrates the difference you make every day.
Location: Craigieburn area - a rare chance to establish a centre from the ground up, build a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and inspire a passionate team of educators.
- Drive a positive workplace culture that reflects the centre's values.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, regulations and policies.
- Manage staff rostering, budgets and financial reporting.
- Partner with families to build strong, positive relationships.
- Support the development and implementation of high-quality programs through collaboration with your Educational Leader.
- Promote professional growth and performance development within your team.
- Diploma of Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Childhood (ACECQA recognised).
- Minimum 2-3 years' full-time experience as a Centre Director (or higher) in a medium-sized service.
- Strong understanding of EYLF, QIP, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in team leadership, performance management and staff development.
- Knowledge of Qikkids (or similar software) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Current WWCC or VIT, plus First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management training.
- Full Australian working rights.
