Right now, we are looking to bolster our team by adding an experienced Manufacturing Quality Technician who can provide knowledge and ideas to help drive strategic growth within our industry.
Types of things you will be doing:
To set the stage youll need to learn and embrace the following: quality is built in, not inspected in. As a QT, you will need to learn the intricacies of our unique approach to low volume manufacturing and how that integrates with our customers needs. You will be designing, developing, and implementing quality control processes to ensure our products and services meet the highest standards of excellence for our customers. Some customers are more demanding than others but theyre like our kids we love them all the same!
When not performing the above functions, you will work with our quality team to monitor and evaluate quality and reliability data to identify areas for improvement while developing, executing, and monitoring testing systems. Geesh, its almost like AI wrote that last sentence!? The preferred candidate should be able to read blueprints and have experience in MSA / Calibration and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditing.
Being an MS Office whiz kid along with experience using ERP software and CAD software should help to ensure success! This position may have you travel a couple of times a year to customer facilities, thus willingness to travel is necessary! Dont worry, we dont fly Spirit.
Types of things you will not be doing:
Passing the buck! Weve all worked with one of those quality people that likes to blame every other department or goes on a power trip when they fail a part during inspection. If something is amiss, collaborate with the necessary people to prevent the mistake from happening in the first place! If you expect to keep your hands clean and sit in an office all day then swipe left and keep looking as we are not for you, ick. This position is highly interactive, and you will be spending plenty of time on the shop floor where all of the action takes place.
How we define success in this role.
You should take pride in getting the job done. It is easily noticed when someone has a modus operandi of action with results. You will be successful if you are able to get your work completed on time and work closely with your teammates to make sure everything is completed. Attitude is everything. Nothing will cause you to fail in this role faster than a poor attitude.
What we would like from you.
Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a quality related field within a fast-paced manufacturing shop floor environment is preferred. Problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate with production and engineering team members is key. If you can analyze information, read/interpret data, and have experience in using visual and mechanical inspection tools, we would love to talk to you! If you really want to impress us and jump to the front of the line, then dazzle us with your resume and highlight all of that sheet metal fabricating and stamping experience you have!
What you will get in return.
If you are the individual that ultimately ends up filling this position, then well compensate you with an attractive base salary and we will provide a full suite of medical, dental, and vision insurance. Several supplemental policies are available as well. You can participate in our 401k with up to a 4% match. We also offer a gainsharing program where you can earn up to a 15% bonus if the company achieves its annual financial goals. You will automatically get a $25,000 company-funded life insurance policy as well. We pay for you to stay home on eight holidays (9 if you are a veteran) and have paid time off as well. Should you decide you want to continue your education and it is in a discipline that would benefit the company then we also have a tuition reimbursement program. In addition to all of that we also offer a very safe, clean, and stable work environment. We are growing, and you will have the opportunity to grow with us. We are not a public company and ownership is involved with the day-to-day operations, so bureaucracy is thin, and you will be recognized for your achievements.
Who are your coworkers?
We are down-to-earth people. We work hard to the best of our abilities and try to learn new things when that is not enough. You can count on your peers as much as they count on you to make sure a job gets done. We do not hide from a challenge or dodge responsibilities. Those that do not last long. We make mistakes just like you will and when we recognize them, we own it, fix it, and move on. Pontificators, blowhards, showboats and self-indulgent wieners need not apply.
When not at work most of our coworkers have families and enjoy a diverse spectrum of hobbies. You will find musicians, hunters, travelers, avid DIYers, coaches, civil servants, gamers, artists, home brewers, board game sharks, dancers, and more.
Does this sound like it could be a fit for you? If so, we would welcome your resume along with anything else that you think would be beneficial for the hiring manager to know.
