Fast-track your career in Project Management with a reputable, growing consultancy

Role Overview

RP Infrastructure (RPI) is one of Australia's leading Project Management and Advisory practices, recognised for delivering complex and high-profile projects across the Public and Private Sector.

With a focus on quality and collaboration, we deliver Advisory, Project Management and Asset Management services across the entire Infrastructure spectrum. Specialising in Education, Civic & Culture, Accommodation, Health/Aged Care, Sports & Recreation, Justice, Retail, Industrial, Aviation, Roads, Rail and Ports sectors, we're dedicated to delivering extraordinary outcomes by converting visions to reality, in an innovative and sustainable way.

Role Description

Due to company growth and a strong pipeline, we're taking applications for an Assistant Project Manager to assist our Education team across a variety of school infrastructure and tertiary projects. These projects will be a mixture of new build, refurbishment and redevelopment projects.

As we are a multi-sector project management firm, you will also have the opportunity to broaden your skill set by delivering projects across other property & buildings sectors such as Education, Health, Industrial, Aviation and Civic & Culture.

Located in our Sydney CBD office, you'll be responsible for:

  • Minute taking duties.
  • Drafting reports, briefs and other documentation for Senior Project Managers.
  • Assisting with scoping of works and tender processes.
  • Assisting with consultant engagement and contractor appointment.
  • Assisting with contract management and construction.
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders and building relationships with key clients.
Candidate Profile

To be successful, you'll bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and a willingness to learn. Exposure to project coordination within a consulting, property or buildings environment will be highly regarded, but most importantly you'll have the drive to develop your career in Project Management.

You'll also need:

  • Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a consulting environment.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with busy stakeholders.
  • An understanding of contracts administration and management.
  • High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • A willingness to work with team members and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
  • Experience with design and construction phases of projects from the Property & Buildings sector.
What's In It for You?

This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next steps in their Project Management career and manage challenging projects in a key sector of the Construction marketplace.

As an Assistant Project Manager at RPI, you'll also receive:

  • Work on diverse projects across multiple sectors, gaining exposure to the full infrastructure spectrum.
  • Benefit from phenomenal support and guidance from our talented leadership team, while contributing to the growth of our business.
  • Enjoy ongoing development opportunities with a tailored Professional Development Plan and a dedicated senior mentor to help you reach your goals.
  • Get involved in events, activities and initiatives led by our active Health & Wellbeing and Diversity & Inclusion committees.

RPI supports a diverse and inclusive work environment as well as equal employment opportunities. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living with a disability, and people of all ages, sexual orientations, nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures.
