The Role(s)We are currently seeking multiple roles across our Asphalt and Bitumen operations, supervision, and business development. Roles include Batch Plant Operator, Asphalt Plant Operator, Spreader Driver, Spray Seal Driver, Multi Skilled Asphalt Worker, Supervisor, Graduate Engineer, Legal Counsel, and Business Development Manager. Locations include Yatala (QLD), Bibra Lake (WA), Rockhampton (QLD), Port of Brisbane (QLD), Tomago (NSW), Sydney (NSW), Newcastle (NSW), and other depots as required. Shifts will rotate; some roles require day and night shifts, weekends, and overtime. Some roles involve travel and living away from home as required.
Responsibilities (examples by role)- Operate Asphalt Plant / Bitumen production systems and related equipment
- Plan, schedule and order raw materials; coordinate maintenance and ensure safety compliance
- Complete workplace inspections and site reports; enforce WHS&E, Dangerous Goods, and Colas safety requirements
- Manage projects or crews, including daily planning, resource allocation, quality oversight, and client relations
- Load/unload goods, operate forklifts/vehicles, and participate in safety programs
- Prepare and manage documentation, bids, proposals, and terms; maintain project financials
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders; support operations teams
- Provide coaching, mentoring and training to crew members
- Travel and work away from home as required for project delivery
- Valid Driver's Licence; White Card; First Aid certification where required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines, including overtime
- Accurate completion of paperwork and strong attention to detail
- Previous experience in Asphalt, Bitumen, Civil Road Construction or related industries
- Understanding of WHS&E Legislation, Dangerous Goods Legislation and safety requirements for Asphalt/Bitumen
- Knowledge of bitumen and bitumen specialty products where applicable
- Flexibility to travel and work away as required; willingness to work different shift patterns
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and commitment to safety
