Aircraft Technician II

To perform aircraft avionics maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision as instructed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
• Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
• Perform scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components and report problems related to maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft system and related aerospace equipment.
• Perform unscheduled troubleshoots and maintain assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment.
• Perform tasks with technician teams in conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems according to applicable standards and procedures.
• Fill maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation.
• Report findings and issues to supervisor and proceed with the adopted solution ensuring proper implementation of tasks performed.
• Perform basic launch and recovery to avionics equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
• Install and maintain visual landing aids as instructed per adopted procedures.
• Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform repair and maintenance tasks on issues encountered during typical recovery missions.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians on basic tasks and procedures to support their development.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
