Accounting Administrative Assistant

Location: Carson (fully onsite; 8 AM-5 PM)

Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour

Contract to Hire

Associate's degree required

A nonprofit organization is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support their accounting department. This individual will assist with incoming mail, check processing, invoice tracking, and general office functions while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and ensure timely distribution.

  • Provide support to both accounts payable and receivable functions, including scanning and uploading documents.

  • Deposit checks, record donor contributions, and assist with maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with a strong focus on customer service.

  • Help facilitate basic training for internal teams on finance-related systems.

  • Support internal audits and maintain organized filing systems.

  • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned by the accounting supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher REQUIRED

  • At least 1-3 years of office or accounting experience is ideal.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Availability to work Saturdays and flexible hours as needed.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.

  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.



Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
