The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring timely reporting through SAP. The role involves reconciling accounts, assisting in month-end closings, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Record, verify, and post all accounting entries in SAP (FI module).
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation posting.
- Support VAT computation and filing in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Monitor expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate with Procurement and HR for proper cost allocation and accruals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading or service industry.
- Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules) - mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
