Account Manager - Energy, AWS Energy & Utilities EMEA

AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to manage our global customer relationship with ADNOC, one of the largest energy companies headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

As an Account Manager you will provide global business leadership, build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects, and engage extended team resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, coordinate executive business reviews, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team with the customer's IT and Business Lines to build strategic relationships across the account.
  • Sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
  • Work with all relevant AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.
  • Own downstream sales and technical resources that may be distributed geographically.
  • Develop formal case studies and reference materials highlighting AWS activity and workloads.

Working within the Energy & Utilities Business Unit at AWS means collaborating with professionals who have strong industry acumen and deep technology skills. Our team operates at the forefront of the renewable energy transformation and helps customers leverage new technology for business challenges.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • Proven extensive knowledge of IT and Cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of the local UAE energy market.
  • Strong knowledge of the oil & gas upstream business.
  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a proven track record; ability to establish credibility quickly with senior level executives.
  • Consultative selling or consulting background.
