Job Description

Accommodation Claims Handler
Our client is a well-established company that provides alternative accommodation solutions to those who have suffered damage to their home in the event of a situation such as fire or flood. They are seeking Accommodation Claims Handlers to expand their growing team. This is a Monday-Friday role with a salary of 24,500 per annum.

Accommodation Claims Handler responsibilities:

  • Take accurate instructions from all instructing principles covering customer requirements.
  • Coordinate bookings between all parties in the appropriate manner and within pre-arranged timescales
  • Complete all necessary paperwork of accommodation bookings on Microsoft Word and Excel and update all information on the system
  • Work primarily on the phone handling many different claims at any one time whilst keeping paperwork up to date
  • Organise extensions / cancellations of bookings.
  • Managing and keeping up to date on multiple claims at any one time
  • Work within framework of governing schemes that are required such as the Tenancy Deposit scheme
  • Handle customer escalations in a positive way and refer unresolved issues to your line manager.
  • Answer the phone and take messages for other teams
  • Undertake any other reasonable office duties as requested by Managers / Directors.

Accommodation Claims Handler skills required:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organisation and time management.
  • Interpersonal Skills including empathy and patience
  • Ability to focus on data entry for long periods
  • Ability to learn and navigate new CRM packages
  • Maths and English GCSE
