Job Overview:
We are seeking x2 7.5T / Class 2 Vehicle Recovery Operative Living / Based around the Haverhill / Sudbury Area
Reliability, Hardworking and willing to do very long days is a must. This can be a very unsociable and demanding job, so the days your working expect to be out all day.
As a Recovery Operative you will be responsible for assisting and recovering vehicles from the roadside, in Suffolk and local counties.
This position requires a Min 7.5t or Class 2, CPC, Full & Clean valid UK driver's license .
Clean criminal record, as you will be regularly vetted to adhere to client contracts
Duties :
-Daily Vehicle Checks
-Spare Wheel Changes
-Battery Jump Starts
-Loading and Unloading Disabled Vehicles Safely, Including Motorcycles.
-Dealing with vehicles in dangerous locations, including hardshoulders and ditches
-Dealing with vulnerable members of the public.
-Keeping Vehicle clean and tidy
-Other typical duties associated with this type of role
Experience :
- Previous experience in a similar position desirable
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle repairs is preferred
- Experience Driving Larger Vehicles Down Tight Narrow Roads Is a must
- Excellent customer service is a must as you will be in the truck with customers everyday.
Hours & Pay :
Rates of pay are £15ph between the hours of 6am - 8pm and increase to £17ph between 8pm - 6am.
You are paid for the hours you work and are on call from home with the truck, a safe place to park the truck is obviously a must.
You will work up to 12 hours per day, but only when your on the road will this count towards the hours, so you can be out morning till night.
You will receive an agreed minimum per week, if its quite and your sat at home, THIS WONT HAPPEN. But there for your piece of mind.
You work every other weekend and have a day off in the week.
This is a 24/7 365 business , so working over the Christmas and bank holiday periods is standard.
