Position: Manufacturing Associate

Location: Cerritos, CA

Pay: $18/hour

Experience: 1 year of related experience is required.

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Vocational training is required.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Day Shift, 6am to 2:30pm

HB Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Monitor machinery and equipment used in the production of molded parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manually remove finished parts from machines and perform visual inspections to identify defects.
• Document production data, including quantities produced, defects found, and materials consumed.
• Correct minor product defects (e.g., flash) using general tools, based on feedback from engineering or quality teams.
• Assemble subcomponents of products using detailed instructions and standard assembly procedures.
• Package finished goods for shipment, including labeling and preparing items based on customer orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety protocols and cleaning schedules.
• Support team operations by covering breaks and lunches for other associates as needed.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production targets, quality improvements, and process enhancements.

Position Requirements:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly role preferred.
• Familiarity with standard manufacturing equipment and practices.
• Experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Exposure to medical device or molding industries is a plus.
• Basic troubleshooting skills in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint, or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement principles.
• Ability to identify process deviations and product defects effectively.
• Skilled in resource allocation to meet production timelines and quality standards.
• Capable of setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to uphold production efficiency.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime when required.
